Hi, I’m Cris ✨

I’m the heart behind NysaCris, a space where intuition, tarot, self-discovery, manifestation, travel and a little bit of magic meet.

And apparently, this story started much earlier than I realized.

The Village Witch Story 🔮

Ever since I was little, my mother used to call me “Baba Mușa”, especially because I would “take the deochi” from people, a Romanian folk tradition connected to the evil eye.

While writing this very page, I suddenly wondered:

Who exactly was Baba Mușa?

I even Googled her, thinking she might have been some famous character I somehow didn’t know. 😂

So I asked my grandmother.

Turns out, my grandparents actually knew her. She was a woman from their village who was known locally for practicing folk magic.

Apparently, she was rather wealthy too. 😂

Then I asked my grandmother what her real name was.

She had the exact same first name as me. 🔮

Coincidence? Family folklore? Me making an appearance in a past life?

I’ll let you decide.

What I do know is that little Cris was being nicknamed after this mysterious village woman long before she knew anything about tarot, intuition

or the path she would eventually take.

 

How Tarot Actually Found Me ✨

I didn’t wake up one morning and decide to become a tarot reader.

It happened almost accidentally.

I found myself taking an intuition and tarot course, and during one of the exercises, we were asked to choose personal objects belonging to other people in the group.

We didn’t know whose object we had.

The exercise was simple: hold the object, tune in and describe whatever came through about its owner.

I started getting information.

And somehow, I kept getting things right.

Details about people I consciously knew nothing about were appearing in my mind, and the owners of the objects kept confirming them.

Then came the tomatoes. 🍅

While holding one particular object, I kept seeing tomatoes.

Again.

And again.

And again.

It seemed so random that I was genuinely too shy to say it.

Eventually, I gave in:

“Okay… I keep seeing tomatoes.”

The person whose object I was holding immediately reacted:

“YES! That’s me. I freaking hate tomatoes!”

😂

That ridiculous little tomato moment stayed with me.

Not because I suddenly believed I had all the answers, but because it made me curious enough to explore my intuition instead of dismissing it.

And that curiosity eventually led me deeper into tarot.

From Curiosity to Practice 🔮

What began as an unexpected experience became years of exploration, practice and study.

I deepened my understanding of tarot symbolism, archetypes and intuitive interpretation through personal practice, independent research and advanced tarot courses attended internationally, including immersive training in Bali.

But I also believe some of our greatest teachers aren’t courses.

They’re life.

Before NysaCris, I spent more than a decade building an international career across technology, project management, leadership and customer experience.

I built teams, managed projects, solved problems and worked with people from around the world.

Then life started asking me different questions.

Travel, relationships, endings, new beginnings, changing countries, taking risks, following intuition, recognizing patterns and learning when to hold on and when to walk away all

 shaped the person and reader I am today.

And somewhere along the way, I learned something that became central to my approach:

You can receive guidance and still remain the author of your own life.

How I Read Tarot 🌙

I don’t see tarot as a script telling you exactly what must happen.

I see it as a mirror.

The cards can reveal themes, patterns, emotions, possibilities and perspectives that may be difficult to see when we’re standing in the middle of our own situation.

I combine traditional tarot symbolism with intuitive interpretation and real-life perspective.

Sometimes a reading is profound.

Sometimes it confirms something you already knew deep down.

Sometimes it challenges you.

And apparently, sometimes the universe just really needs you to know that somebody hates tomatoes. 🍅😂

My readings are warm, intuitive and direct. I share what I genuinely interpret from the cards rather than trying to manufacture the answer someone wants to hear.

Tarot can offer another perspective.

And Who Am I Outside the Cards? 🤍

I’m Romanian, endlessly curious and rarely able to stay in one place for too long.

I love travelling, Asia, Korean BBQ, iced lattes, beautiful hotels, discovering new cities, collecting tarot and oracle decks, meaningful conversations and laughing at the absurdity of life.

I believe spirituality can be deep without always being serious.

You can meditate and still swear.

You can believe in synchronicities and still ask questions.

You can pull a tarot card and then make your own decision.

And apparently, you can spend your childhood being nicknamed after a wealthy village witch, only to grow up and somehow end up here. 😂🔮

Maybe some things really do come full circle.

Or maybe life simply has an excellent sense of humour.
